Welcome to Oak Hill 56!
We are so pumped you are interested in our Oak Hill 56 program! OH56 is a preteen ministry that exists to bridge the gap between our kids and students ministries. Our 5th and 6th graders participate in programming that helps them transition to student life and learn in ways that are specifically geared toward preteens. Over the years we have seen time and time again the awkward transition preteens are faced with as they dive deep into student ministry life. Our goal is to “lessen the awkwardness”, so to speak, and give our preteens a hybrid ministry that takes elements, they are used to in kids ministry and fuse them with new elements that go along with student ministry. We believe this sets them up for future success to be the teenagers God has called them to be!

Weekly Programs
Sunday School - 9:30 am -
Preteens will learn about God’s Word in a traditional classroom setting with a teacher. Our teachers follow the Answers in Genesis Bible Curriculum which you can read about at answersingenesis.org.
Sunday Morning Worship-
Preteens enjoy a morning of worship, learning, and fun on Sunday Mornings! During this time, a major focus is put on helping them learn how to worship differently and teaching them at a level that is appropriate for their age group. Our sermons are revolved around the Forged curriculum from Lifeway that you can read about at lifeway.com.
Recharge Wednesday - 6:30 pm -
Recharge is our mid-week program where we review Sunday’s Lesson and break off into small groups to discuss the lesson, play games, and memorize scripture. Wednesdays are small group focused and are a great way for our preteens to build relationships and fellowship with others.
What About Safety?
The safety of our preteens is our number one priority aside from teaching the Word of God. All of our volunteers are thoroughly vetted with background checks, applications, interviews, etc.
