SERVE DAY

APRIL 25, 2026

What would it look like if Oak Hill were to be released into the community? What might happen if we were to be sent out to simply serve? That’s what Serve Day is all about!

Here’s the big idea—the vision for Serve Day: We want to serve our community through simple, practical, helpful projects. Through these simple acts of service, we pray that people will see the love of Jesus Christ in action and that their hearts will be opened to His love! It’s been said that we’re never more like Jesus than when we’re serving. Mark 10:45 reminds us that He did not come “…to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” We can be more like Jesus by intentionally serving our community on Oak Hill Serve Day!

We are asking every Connect Group to design a project through which they can serve our community. Have fun! Get creative! Dream big!

Here are some simple steps to take to develop your Connect Group’s plan:

  • Ask God to lead you as you design your project for Serve Day. How might He use your group to love on the community in Jesus’ name?

  • Envision and dream what it might look like for you and your friends to serve on Serve Day.

  • Think through questions like “How is our Connect Group uniquely gifted and connected to serve our community?” and “Who do we know (business, non-profit organization, family, etc.) that we can bless through the Oak Hill Serve Day?” and “Who in our community has a need we can meet?“ Discuss project ideas with your Connect Group.

  • The Oak Hill Serve Day is a time for us to focus on reaching out to our community. We’re asking that we serve the outside community on Saturday, April 25, 2026.

  • Decide how your group will serve and register your project (registration link posted soon).

  • Will you need tools and supplies? How many people can serve? What will everyone need to do to make the project a success? Mobilize your group and resources if needed.

  • Make sure all your group has the details.

  • You’ve prayed, planned, and organized. Now it’s Go-Time! Have your Connect Group meet at the Oak Hill campus at 8:30 for the Serve Day send-off!
